Education App of the Month - WordBanker

 

WordBanker was discussed here already as the language vocabulary builder that offers a unique and fun way to learn a foreign language. Because we really liked this app and what it offers for learning a language, we decided to be our Education App of the Month.

 

What is WordBanker? 

WordBanker is a language vocabulary builder that is developed for IOS and Android users. It’s easy to use with user-friendly interface, offering you a unique and fun way to learn a foreign language. It fouces on building vocabulary rather than bogging you down with complicated grammar. This app will only test you on the words you don’t know.  

 

Why Do We Love It? 

This language vocabulary builder offers variety of features. All languages are interchangeable on this app. Any combination of languages can be used for learning with this app. You can choose between viewing a word and hearing a word and select translation from one of the boxes. When a session of 20 words is complete you will be tested on the words you got wrong in the next session. Words important to you can be added to a ‘'Hotlist’’ so you can test yourself on them.

Add and import your own words and even delete and edit existing words.  

Set a daily target to practice daily. It includes a progress report if you miss 5 minutes one day, to make up the next. The app will test you on the same 20 unbanked words each session but when you feel more confident you can shuffle words between rounds. The Practice mode is great when you are unable to interact, it acts as an audio player, you hear words and translate them yourself before the given answer.
