Actually he needs to avoid the so called Sunja Stars. The goal of the game is to maintain this as long as possible. When you start the game will be relatively easy, but as you progress the games becomes really challenging. 

It will be really hard to maintain the Ginga Ninja to avoid the stars for a long time. It can get under anyone’s skin really fast. It is one of the most addictive games we’ve played these couple of weeks. We can also remark that the sounds and graphics are really enjoyable and original.
