Game of the Week – Enemy Dawn
Thursday, August 21, 2014
In the last 10 days I have played and tested more than 30 games for both iOS and Android. However, the game that impressed me the most is Enemy Dawn, new iOS combat simulation game that was released August 7, 2014 worldwide for the Apple iPad and iPhone.
The Story
In the fall
of 1939, the German army swept into Poland, quickly overwhelming the country's
defenses. It wasn't much of a fight. But the results might have been different
if the defenders had been armed with the Russian-made Katyusha rocket launcher.
Enemy Dawn places you back in time and allows you to relive the invasion that
triggered World War II.
That's the
premise of Enemy Dawn. The game lets you fight the war by commanding a mobile
rocket launcher and firing against Nazi Panzer tank assaults, Stuka dive
bombers, battalions of infantry and even German warships.
Features
The game
includes realistic sites and sounds of combat spread over five levels. It
starts with the defense of Warsaw and moves up through four more levels that
has you fighting infantry troops, recapturing a Polish airfield and shooting
down attacking stuka aircraft streaking across over Danzig harbor.
The game is
perfectly optimized for both iPhone and iPad. Everything runs with blazing fast
and in crisp, HD graphics with tasteful and beautiful drawings. The gameplay is
just amazing and engaging, you could play this for hours. The levels, the
weapons and the historic landmarks are just outstanding. Enemy Dawn is the
perfect example of how every game should look like.
