Game of the Day – Flip, The Bird Wears IronPants

The last 10 days or so I’m searching for similar games to Flappy Bird, but most of them are really spammy and low quality. However, I recently found and tried one game called Flip, The Bird Wears IronPants. The game with creative and funny title is currently popular on Google Play.

The goal is to get the best score and you can choose from 4 characters. However, there are very interesting additional bonuses, coins and upgrades that make the game even more interesting. I like the pace of the game and the fact that there is a pause button. The retro graphics and sound are great as well.

I’ve played this for the last two days and I will continue to play it because it relaxes me and it entertains me. It is a game similar to Flappy Bird, but with extras and a pause button. The game is free and available on Google Play.

Meet Flip, The Bird and his clumsy friends Flop, Flap and Fred.

These four awkward and clumsy birds enjoy spreading their wings and flapping their way through the caves in an attempt to avoid the protruding walls from the ceiling and the floor.

Flip - Certainly the leader of these birds, and he takes the three other adrenaline junkies on their daily adventures.

Flop - Don't judge a bird by it's name. Flop is pretty smooth in flight and he certainly isn't into flopping around.

Flap - You don't want to mess with Flap. She is beyond flappy with her mouth and she will tell you like it is, but she can certainly fly with the best.

Fred - Poor Fred. He is one clumsy bird that loves his friends and will do whatever they do.

What makes each of these four birds awkward looking is that they all wear silver ironpants (prevents the falling turd) that look like underpants. They certainly get some strange looks from all the other birds, but they don't care because they live to be different from the rest. Besides, life would be boring if everyone looked the same.

The game features an easy one touch control (tap to fly), but can be frustrating as you try flying through each of the protruding caves. Use some of the power ups (tiny mode and bubble mode) to assist you on your journey. Grab stars for the ability to continue your game without starting back at the beginning. Be careful not to let your bird fall out of the sky, or you will be swimming with the fish as they say.
