The new UI viewed in Landscape mode |
In-app browser and password generator
Maybe the only big thing that was missing in the previous version of Dashlane was the autofill. But, with 2.0 that is possible with the new feature - the in-app browser. So, now you can easily auto login on any website that you saved in Dashlane, and easily autofill forms with you personal information. Also, you can autosave new passwords, feature that was already available in the desktop version. But, not only that you can autosave your passwords, you can ask Dashlane to generate ultra strong passwords for you, which the app will store in your Dashlane account.
Tablet compatibility and landscape orientation
With the 2.0 update, Dashlane is now available on Tablets, and on top of that, you can now view Dashlane in landscape orientation, great features that were not available in the previous version. I personally loved this 2 new features, as I can now sync my tablet with my smartphone and view the app in landscape mode on bigger screen. I'm much more effective now and everything is easy to manage and visible.
2 Factor Authentication
The app is now compatible with Google Authenticator. So, now it is possible to add another layer of 2 factor authentication to your login that will surely increase your security.
Brand new UI
The old UI was good, but this one is excellent. I get the feeling like everything is more slicker, faster, descriptive and easy to manage.
I think that the previous version of Dashlane was somewhat useful and ok, but Dashlane 2.0 is much more better looking, more efficient and more useful. I loved the new features, and it seems like many other are liking them as well. The Google Play rating of the app improved massively, it was 3.9 when I first wrote about the app and now is 4.4. There are also much more new users and positive reviews.
