Rosetta Stone now available on Android

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

We already know that Rosetta Stone is a really great software for learning foreign languages. About a year ago I used a desktop application extensively and learned German. But, from few days ago Rosetta Stone is now available at Play Store as an Android application.

Rosetta Course uses a combination of text, image and speech so users can learn a new language. The  pronunciation exercises  work on all devices, and users who have a stylus can quickly perform the exercises with writing.

I tested the application on the phone and the software recognizes my voice perfectly. Actually much better than on my computer. It’s great that Rosetta completely transferred the interface from the desktop application to the mobile version. It is interesting that the interface of the desktop application is designed in a way that can fully fit and any device with a touch screen.

This tool is free to try, but if you want to "listen to" the whole course of one language you will have to buy it. And it's not cheap. I noticed that you can’t make the purchase from the application, you must purchase through their site.
