Review of Baidu Browser – Fast and simple Android browser focused on performances

The Baidu Browser is a product from the large Chinese web services company – Baidu.  This company presented its own Android web browser in September, but it was only available to the members of the Baidu Forum. From December it’s available on the Google Play Market.

Compared to its competitors, Baidu has better HTML and Java Script support. It has simple design and it’s very fast. Also, Baidu works on the powerful T5 engine, which is not compatible with all devices. But, if your phone supports this feature, you’ll receive message that you can install it. It’s truly an amazing browser!

Features:

      

-            - Home screen, with direct links to your favorite web sites and social networks, divided in several categories.

-          - Supports tabs.

-          - Scrolling and browsing with two fingers. If you tap from up to down you’ll open a new tab, if you tap from down to up, you’ll close it. If you scroll from left to right, you’ll go through the open tabs.

-         -  Bookmarks.

-          - History.

-          - Incognito mode.

-          - Text mode – which ignores the pictures and shows only the text.

-          - Screen Shot of your favorite web sites.

-         -  Night mode brightness.

-          - Your own downloads manager.

-        -  Many other T5 features like zooming and memorizing zoom ratio, underlining links, GPU rendering, HTML 5 video.

What we also liked were the short advises that the browser gives you in order to easily find and use its features.

Flaws:

Maybe the only con is that you can’t synchronize with various platforms. Maybe in future they will fix this with some update.
